I’ll be the first to admit that I’m kind of crazy about my teeth. I get a new toothbrush every 3 months, on the dot and am very loyal to my brand of choice. Traveling always proved a bit challenging because, although I’m more than happy to buy local clothes, use local shampoo, and eat local food all day everyday while on the road, the one thing I always have with me is a fresh toothbrush from home.
One day I discovered a product that has absolutely changed my life, its called Dr. Tung’s Snap-On Toothbrush Sanitizer. These amazing little bits of plastic look similar to standard toothbrush protectors included in travel toiletry kits but do so much more. Not only do they protect your toothbrush from physically coming in contact with dirt or grime, they also use “revolutionary anti-bacterial vapors” to kill germs and sanitize your toothbrush in between uses.
I haven’t conducted any independent research on any of their antibacterial claims but I have seen some pretty scary statistics on what can be floating around in bathroom air and anything I can put between my roommates and my toothbrush seems just fine with me. It doesn’t hurt that they cost less than $2 a piece and are biodegradable.
